have got

I needed money and I hadn’t got my wallet.
I needed money and I didn’t have my wallet.

We normally use have got only in the present. To talk about possession in the past, use had or didn’t have, without got.

Had got and hadn’t got are common in informal British English, but it is better to use had or didn’t have in standard English.
