ever

I ever throw away old documents. I hate them!
I always throw away old documents. I hate them!

I have ever liked old movies.
I have always liked old movies.

Always means ‘every time’ or ‘throughout a whole period’: ‘I always eat out on Saturdays.’ ‘I have always liked old movies.’

Ever means ‘at any time’. We commonly use it in questions: ‘Do you ever eat out?’ ‘Have you ever visited London?’

We can also use it in negative sentences and after if: ‘I don’t ever eat meat.’ ‘If you ever need help, call me.’
