Use a lot of + noun: ‘a lot of questions’, ‘a lot of time’.

We can use a lot of before plural countable nouns and uncountable nouns: ‘She bought a lot of books.’ ‘We need a lot of money.’

When there is no noun after it, use a lot without of: ‘I like pizza a lot.’ ‘We studied a lot for the exam.’

We can also use a lot before a comparative adjective: ‘My son is a lot taller than yours.’ ‘The exam was a lot easier than last year’s.’
