Capitalization

√  I am 25 years old.

We say I (NOT i) for the first person singular.

×  My favourite day is saturday.
√  My favourite day is Saturday.

×  I don’t like january.
√  I don’t like January.

We capitalise the days of the week and the months of the year: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, January, February, March, etc.

Note that we do NOT capitalise the names of the seasons (spring, summer, fall, autumn, winter): ‘He arrived in winter.’ ‘Next summer we want to go to Australia.’

We capitalise the names of raceslanguages and nationalities: Polish, Swedish, Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Greek, British, Native American, African American, Jewish, etc.
